MHP Food UK Limited, one of the youngest companies within MHP Group, opened its doors in May 2021 with a vision to better manage sales within the UK market. Initially, the office had two employees. Prior to the opening of the UK office, all sales into the UK were managed through the Netherlands office. The primary objective of the UK office is to drive the UK business and enhance sales and distribution of MHP products in the region.
As the company transitions towards a Customer Business Development (CBD) sales model, having an in-market presence has become crucial. This strategy allows MHP Food UK to offer more than just commodity products, focusing on building partnerships and providing tailored solutions that improve customers’ businesses.
The UK office has experienced steady growth, expanding from two employees to twelve within a span of two years, with plans for further recruitment. To support the evolving needs of the business, presentation and development kitchen was successfully launched at the end of September 2023.
The office is structured with dedicated teams responsible for various functions:
Customer Business Development: These professionals drive sales and maintain customer relationships, employing a customer-centric approach to deliver value-added solutions.
Supply Chain & Customer Service: This team manages the intricacies of the supply chain, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products.
Research & Development: This role focuses on new product development and research, leveraging market trends and customer insights to deliver innovative solutions.
Administration: The administration team handles various administrative tasks, supporting the smooth operation of the office.
MHP Food UK recognizes the importance of industry events and has taken a significant role as the key event sponsor for the IFE (International Food & Drink Event) in 2023 and 2024. The IFE is the largest trade show in the UK, providing an excellent platform to showcase MHP’s products and engage with industry professionals.
